I recently purchased a 2003 Sharan (LHD preparing for an eventual move to France)

It appears quite sound but the previous owners have not taken too much care, so the glove box lids (front and rear) have broken hinges, some of the seats have the plastic lever ends broken off, one of the rear windows has its plastic ‘button’ through the glass replaced by a bolt, there is even a broken vane in one of the air directors on the front dash (how on earth do you break one of them?)
There are also a few missing bolt covers and little bits and pieces.

As I’ve never owned a VW before (or a car come to that) I’m not sure where the best places are to look for little bits and bobs. I’m guessing it will be a mixture of places according to the part in question. Ebay, the scrapyards and Mr. VW himself look like obvious places to start but there must be independent VW specialists out there.

I’d appreciate any advice on where to look for various types of parts.

    Regards
    David

I'd try eBay first - search 'sharan breaking' or the likes.
