Hello all (long time no post)

Apologies if this is a repeat thread but i can't find anything on the search.

My wife has just put £50 of unleaded in my beloved bora TDI . It was almost empty so it is pretty much pure unleaded in the tank. She got about 300yards downa hill before it conked out. RAC are now towing her to the vw specialist mechanic who looks after my car for me. I have just spent nearly £1000 on new tyres, CAT, suspension arms, service, MOT, TAX and various liitle jobs to keep it in such good conisition. Argghhhh!

Has anyone had a similar problem? Can anyone tell me what the likely outcome is? Will i have to scrap the car?!?!? How much is a new injector rail (if that is what takes to sort it)?

    Cheers for any advice/condolences/experience

    Sid

    Oh Bugger!!
I did something similar but fortunately it was only 5 litres in a nearly empty tank.........topped it with diesel and it was fine.
Not sure exactly what the consequences will be but I would imagine it wont be cheap......
Its a shame your Mrs drove the car.....a simple tank emptying would then have probably been enough.

I feel your pain mate.....good luck!!
