    Hello,

I must be a glutton for punishment! I bought a 02 Passat SE TDI 130pd estate on 85k, on driving it initially I thought wow this is quick, until.... UNTIL!

I tried overtaking on the motorway, I dropped to 4th put my foot down and...AND nothing! No turbo! Until I stopped at services, carried on with a turbo, and then it disappeared again!

Below are the results of a VCDS (godbless it) scan - the car is under a 3 month VW warranty so I want to get everything fixed ASAP by VW. On a brief search - I'm guessing MAP/Thrust sensor, stuck turbo vanes or n75?

Personally don't think you should do anything except take it back and calmly tell them the problems and say that you would like a free loan car until your is completely fixed FOC

The above suggestion by Toonmania is happening on Tuesday, I wanted them to pay a VW garage local to me to sort it, but not possible, so On Tuesday I drive my car back to Morecambe, they give me a polo, I then drive to Derby as I have uni there the next day, and then probably back to Morecambe to give them back their car on Thursday and hopefully retrieve mine to drive back to North Wales! Not sure I'll actually want to drive anything for a few days afterwards!

Twas the pesky N75 valve that caused the problem, all fixed now, was a bit smokey for a bit, but that soon cleared with some heavy right footedness. I ended up having a 2012 Golf Plus, can't see the point of it myself, but I did like the cruise control. My local VW garage quoted £190 fitted to have it retrofitted, does that seem like a good price? I would be very wary of asking some of the local garages to do it, and the auto electrician I know is a bit of a butcher.
