iv just removed the cat and back box from my 2000 bora as i heard mpg is better and you can hear the turbo more

but it sounds so much like a tractor when i get up to speed! its fine when cruising

Just wondering if i can quieten it down but still hear a bit of the turbo?

put the back box back in then, or a cherry bomb or something.

You've removed the two main mufflers, whoever told you about the increased mpg should have told you this would be the side effect.

Only way to make it more quiet is to undo what you've just done.

I've never understood why people bother doing this to road going diesels.
