    Hi All,

Just joined the forum after reading your threads on how to fit the Ipod lead - great work. I'm going to do that shortly.

Now could anyone tell me before I knacker the door trims, how the speaker grilles come off?

I'd like to fit some decent speakers, rather than the standard stuff, but can't see an obvious way to remove them.

    Thanks.

On the B5 and MK4 Golf etc. the grille is part of the doorcard.

I'd suspect it is the same on the B6, so your doorcard will have to come off.

You will probably need adaptor rings as well to fit aftermarket speakers.

    Hi,
Just fiited rear ones to mine. Yep the grills are part of the door card. The door card comes off quite easy. Screws are hidden behind plastic panels on the door handles, one at the bottom; carefully pulll the edges to realese the clips (you can get a tool for this).

I bought infinity slims, so no adapter ring need as doors are deep, you will have to rivet them to the door or modify the lips on the speaker holes to use self tappers.

Didn't take long once I done the first one.
