This piece of trim keeps falling out (see below) on the rhs of my boot after every journey.

There seems to be no deformities and has only been removed once in 3.5 years

Any ideas on how to keep it in place?

Are there any spring clips on the back you could bend out slightly? I seem to recall it's a push-fit, but there are clips of some sort to locate it at the top? Or maybe I dreamed it - might be worth a look though.

    Cheers!

    Mark.

The bottom slots in and the top has a handle and two clips either side.

I have bent these upwards but to no avail.

Maybe I'll keep an eye out for a second hand one on eBay if no-one has any ideas.

    Thanks Mark.

Could you pack something at the bottom where the tabs locate into the slots to raise it up a little and allow the clips to gain better purchase?

Good idea - I'll have a look in the garage tomorrow and see what would fit.

I thought it was just me. Mine does exactly the same and it comes off frequently, but not all the time. I forget about it look in the boot and there it is flapping around loose. I've found no way of keeping it in place. On my last A6 it seemed to click in snuggly, on my current one it just seems to push in without locating propoerly.

Mine did the same and thankfully in the front of the Audi service guys...I wasn't too bothered but I raised it more as a question
They initially replaced it straight from the loaner I had during service but that eventually did it too...the second time round, he did something to the top bit (handle area) from the back and it hasn't fallen out side

I'll have a proper look tonight and see if memory kicks in again
