    Hi,

Kind of late in the day to ask this and a little embarrassing , but other than checking engine oil level and tyre tread depths , is there anything else that needs I be monitored month to month ?

Steering fluid, level and colour. Hyraulic Fluid level, remember this does drop over time due to brake pad wear. Coolant Level Max when hot. Screen washer fluid. Aux belt tension and condition. Regards Peter

As mine is an Avant (estate) I always check the washer pipework running by the MMI (behind left trim in boot) is not showing signs of leakage...

I fixed issues with the rear washer pipework which runs through car from front to boot, mainly under the carpet of passenger side....
I did not dry carpet fully when did repair and later found condensation on back of the rubber mats... even though carpet was not wet...
When I removed carpet for second time found that because of the thickness of sponge it had not dried fully...
So I now look for condensation on the back of the mat's as tell tale sign for issues with the pipework...

Another one is a view of the plenum chamber (bulkhead in engine bay), even though I avoid parking under trees I just like to make sure the drains are clear...
I always remove the plastic engine cover to have a view of the engine... just to check that all is well

Always check coolant colour/state ie clear pink... as well as the above stuff...

WOW I must be OCD about my car!!

    Thanks Peter D.

    That's quite a list.

Without asking you personally to explain it all , can you recommend a link or read of some sort , ideally one specifically for the A6.

Btw , are these the kind of things that would be looked at in a "health check".
