Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has painted there surrounds the same colour as the car rather than leaving them black? Would it look good/bad. What are people's thoughts?

Sorry that was ment to say Foglight surrounds mate. I done it years ago on a 2002 silver mondeo, they were black and I painted them to match the bumper and really looked good but just not sure on the audi :-( hopefully someone will find a pic and post it up.

Hey Doc, I had cause to replace these a few years ago and bought one for each side from the dealer..............total cost at that time was only £9.00

At those prices you could easily afford to buy a brand new set to get painted up and fit, if you like keep them, if not switch back!

I haven't seen any tbh, but sounds like it could be quite nice.

There'a a lower black bumper insert too, and I've saw one or two A6'S around that have that painte the body colour and it looks smart.

Perhaps someone could photoshop it for you??

I'm with Chris on this. I think a little contrast looks good... Yours is Akoya as well isn't it? Perhaps wrapping them in carbon fibre might work? Although depends on the final look your trying to achieve... But at the small cost involved it might be worth while... And change my opinion in the process! :cool'

Ya its a marmite situation isn't it :-) maybe I'll give carbon wrap a go first. I'm thinking of full black grille anyway so I guess the Foglight covers wouldn't suit if they were painted. It's experiment time :-)
