Hi folks

been searching on the site about the problems with the epb and have found a lot of reading!

What i am trying to decide is whether i have a dodgy switch or its the parking brake motor that is the problem.

this is what vagcom is telling me....

so far i have still managed to get the car moving, but there has been a coulpe of times where i have needed to turn off the engine, pause, then turn back on, car in neutral, and press and hold the switch. this has then stopped the handbrake switch flashing and beeping and allowing me to release the handbrake.

My reckoning is that the motor isnt playing ball, and it isnt the switch, but how does one decide where the fault lyes (sp?)

TIA!!!!
