    I have an 05 plate 2.0t. I have recently noticed a flatspot in the power delivery around 4k rpm. The engine builds power cleanly up to that point but then there is a loss in power gain: as if the boost pressure is reduced from that point on. I was running regular unleaded but have just filled up with Shell vpower: the flatspot seems to have 'cleared', but the power delivery doesn't feel quite as good as it has been.

    I am aware of the diverter valve problem and my car (I assume) is still running the old diaphragm type valve. It also hasn't had the coil pack upgrade (happening in 2 weeks).

    Are there any thoughts out there, or am I on a wild goose chase?

    I had the same problem, and it turned out to be the Diverter Valve. The car didnt feel just right so i had it scanned which showed no issues. While i was there i got the car mapped and the increase in boost ripped the Diaphram almost right round. Replaced with the latest revision Valve (about 50 quid from Audi) and all is fine.
