This may well be a road I do not want to travel down, but I hadn't fully appreciated that the Bluetooth in a Dension unit would not necessarily play nicely with the car's bluetooth.

Having got my Dension now working correctly (which really was the goal of music over A2DP), I have been advised by their help desk that to clean up the not great quality of calls over Bluetooth (using the Dension rather than the car) would probably require me removing the OEM Telephone from the MOST loop so that the Dension and Car were not fighting each other.

Does anyone have any guidance on this? I would assume that I can unplug the "in" and "out" fibre optic leads from the OEM telephone kit and insert them into an inline socket (which I have left over from the install) in order to continue the loop of light. Any ideas where the telephone "brain" is based?

TBH I really don't want to get into taking the car to pieces to do this job! But if it does the trick and is easily done/reversible I'm willing to give it a try.

It's under the passenger floor in the A6, you would have to remove the seat, trim and carpet to get to the module and buy a fiber loopback (around £12) from Audi to bypass the module or use your inline socket after removing the fiber cables from the phone fiber plug.

    Thanks for the quick response.

Nice and accessible then! Stuff that!

Do you have any idea where all of the satnav/radio/cd player fibre optics terminate in the car? In the old days everything would pretty much end up plugged into ISO leads behind the head unit!

Further to my previous, is it likely that the pair of fibres optics that terminate at the cd changer will start at the telephone prep?

Don't know if you solved your issue... just thought be good info to add to thread for others...

    Attachment 17927

The MOST Loop / fibre optical ring daisy chains modules.... so you add bridge at point in loop/chain where you remove module...

No, I just left it alone!

Didnt want to have to take the seat out if I could avoid it, and I think I need to remove the tray/luggage points in the boot to get the battery out too.

    Aggro!

Aside from call quality it's identical, phone book etc is the same.

People say to me though that me to them on calls is fine, it's just them to me which is bad.
