Hi, I have just bought a 2007 A3 S Line with the Concert Sound System and I am trying to connect my Ipod Classic 160gb. There is an Ipod dock in the glove box but the Classic will not fit in the plastic shroud as it is too big. I have read the manual (I'm getting that desperate!) and realise that there should be have been a choice of plastic adaptors supplied originally but as the car is second hand the spare adaptors seem to have gone missing.

    1) Can someone point me in the right direction for somewhere to buy the correct plastic adaptor (with part number if possibe).

    2) If I can get another adaptor, how do I remove the one that is in at the moment without breaking anything.

    3) If I cannot get the correct adaptor I think I could get away with an extension lead, again any pointers appreciated.

    Thanks in anticipation,
    Tim

You can buy an extender lead which plugs into the dock and allows the iPod to be connected and set in the glovebox.

Give me a few minutes and I'll go off and find one online.

..and so are you! Many thanks Chris for the prompt help. The more I think about it the extended lead is probably the better option.

    Regards,

Just a quick update. I got the lead, as in the link above, and it was delivered in a couple of days and works a treat. Going to have to play around with playlists to make the content more easily accessed.
