    Default 57 New Shape 1.2 petrol fabia – 11-08-2012,01:44 PM
    Looking for a car for my lad - this is insurance group 1 and is the cheapest to insure for him (Ł1000)

    It has around 100k miles on it but a FSH with 8 stamps,

    I was wondering what kind of things to look out for on a car like this, common faults, things to check etc.

    It's a 1.2 petrol - I also have a VAG Com

    Engine code is BBM

    Any advice would be appreciated as I'm gonna look at the car further tomorrow. Ill be taking VAG com with me.

    Also is it a chain or a belt?

    Fit like its a chain try and have a listen during a cold start and see if you hear any strange rattles when first started,ALSO check measure block for missfire detection some tend to have valve trouble esp 12v models
