    Morning all.

Trying to locate the fuel temperature sensor on my golf 1.9 Gt tdi pd130. 2003, ASZ engine.

Carried out a scan using vcds lite.

    Results are:

    17571 fuel temp sensor

(G81) open or short to plus.

    P1163-35-10 intermittant.

Reason for scan was workshop emmissions engine management light on dash.

    Many thanks guys.

before spanking money, remove the plug and peel back the loom to check for wire damage. you only need to do it from the sensor to the main loom, so a 5 min job.

I checked the connector plug and wire when I took the photo no obvious sign of damage. cleaned conectors with electrical cleaner, pluged back in and reset DTC. Went on a 5mile test drive. all ok until engine upto temp then emissions workshop back again. Re scaned came up with same DTC. so looks like new sensor.

    Thanks again for your advice.

    Regards simon
