Engine Oil query for 2002 Octavia

Hello, I'd like to ask please:Which engine oil would you recommend for this car, and at what mileage-interval would you change it?The car is 2002 Skoda Octavia 20v 1.8 turbo.Many thanks for your thoughts!

welcome to the forum. someone will be along to confirm the exact spec oil, but iirc you want a fully synthetic 5w30 and change it every 6k miles.

yes, its not the cheapest oil in the world, but you should be able to shop around and buy it in bulk if you can, like 20 litres at a time, enough for 4 changes. using the right oil though will make it last as long as it can.

So is a new engine and turbo! I bought my VRS with a seized engine and dead turbo because someone did not use 5w/30 fully synth and change it every 5k.
