    Hi Guys.

    I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong section but I've browsed all the other sub forums and none appear to be close, please move if necessary.

    Now I've had this info for a long time I've just seen it again so it may as well go in here.

    Let me start from the beginning. Every VAG vehicle made has an Options sticker. One half of this sticker is on the first page of the service schedule the other half will be stuck on the boot floor somewhere near the spare wheel well (depending on the vehicle).

    This sticker will show lots of info about that vehicle. This is a sticker so it may not be exactly the same as yours.

    This engine code is BWA and the transmission code is JLW along with the paint code under the engine number LB9A.

    If you want to know what all the other option codes are from 3 down then type them into VW/Audi/Seat/Škoda Option Codes Decoder. These Option Codes will tell you what was fitted to the vehicle when it came from the factory.

    Now if you have alot of time on your hands you can download VAG Option Codes 235 page pdf file and have a read through them all.

    In that pdf there is a link to VAG Codes where can type in the odd Option Code but you can type in the engine code and it tells you which models the years they were fitted with that engine.

    So if someone is after an engine you will see which vehicles used the engine code.

    Don't forget about my EOBD II Error Codes?

    Thanks, I've just looked in "How To" Guides but no thread title comes close.

    Because that's the Detailing section, not the How To Section

    If you follow the link in my post above you'll be taken to the thread which is located in;

    Forum > Model Specific Sections > "How To" Guides - Vehicle Related > General

    Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.
