Hey there guys Just bought myself a B5 passat 1.8 T. I will be spending some money on it to tune up the power and a few other bits. I had a look at remapping it which takes it from 150 to about 192 bhp. Are there any other changes that can be made to increase the engines power other than remapping it?

Are there any other smaller changes that can be made to increase the engines power and generally make it sound and run better? would quite like to get it over 200 break!!

I would think the remap is best place to start? I think if you want more power, a bigger turbo and front mounted intercooler will be in order, then possibly upgrades to fuelling depending how far you want to go. Bear in mind 190hp will be plenty for the chassis to cope with as is.

how deep are your pockets? there is a lot of power to be had but it will get expensive, then as scotty says, your chassis becomes the limiting factor. but, audi did the s4, so upgrades such as brakes might be off the shelf and there are plenty of options for suspension upgrades.

ok thanks well I think around 200hp would be the goal and after doing a little research I know what needs doing. How interchangeable are the parts on the s3 with the passat?
