Hi, I've just acquired a standard 58 plate 1.9TDIe A3 from auction without true appreciation of how basic the basic specification actually is. As a result of this, my wife has bent my ear considerably.

    Help

Things I'm tasked with doing - I need your help initially to diagnose the complexity & cost to prioritise, schedule and do.

    1. Speakers seem to only feed through front - can the VCDS system enable rear speakers?
    2. Retrofitting a centre console - sounds simple but does anyone have a pictoral guide I could refer to before attempting?
    3. Drivers information system shows nothing other than gear I'm in and when to change. Can I load the fuel computer by changing a setting using e.g. VCDS? If so, how difficult & costly is it to fit the 'indicator' control stick & where do I get one?
    4. Wife wants rear parking sensors for when she uses it!!!
    5. Front fogs - how hard is it to fit these and wire up to dash?
    6. I'm sure there is more but thats a good start!

    1) I'm pretty sure they can't be enabled as they're not fitted - pop the speaker cover off and see - I assume you have a Chrous system fitted - you need to change the headunit as the Chorus only runs the front two - Double din Concert or Symphony is needed

    2) centre console as in central armrest? I'm pretty sur dive seen a guide online somewhere - I will look it up today sometime

    3) very easy to enable - you can enable it without the replacement wiper stalk but you can't scroll through the options - stalk is very easy to fit and as you will have the steering wheel off you may aswell for cruise control at the same time if your steering module supports it

    4) again very easy to fit - you can buy an official Audi aftermarket kit which either yourself or Audi can it - means bumper off and drilling 4 specified holes though - look on Audi accessories

    5) You did buy a basic car didn't you! They cha be added but with a lot of wiring and fettling with canbus modules and whatnot - not something I would attempt myself though.

    6) Bluetooth? Very easy to fit - you get the bits for about £100 and takes all of 30 mins to fit yourself and some coding with vcds
