One of my customers has an Audi A6L 2.4, built here in China, he complains the headlamps after a couple of years became dim and does not want to buy new headlamps. Is there any way to make the lamps brighter? ie new bulb type or HID kits? I appreciate any help you chaps can give me.

    I smell spam, TBH.

Chinese based member, first post, asking about HID's <sniffs>

Where do most nasty HID kits come from?

Hi Chris, yes I am a British expat living in China and I am also a Mercedes Benz Technician, albeit an old one LOL. I work in a large group of specialists here in China with 42 workshops and we do all German cars. But I am no expert on Audi and a customer hit me with this question, when I asked the Audi boys in the workshop they said they tried hid and it did not satisfy the customer, they also tried a higher wattage bulb to no avail. Now I am not sure if the present system is X or H and will find out soon. If you want to check me out to make sure this is not spam, check Benzworld.org where I use the same name and have over 35k posts. Also on Benzforum.com I am the mod for the diy/tech section. Also on Benzworld check my profile, there is a picture of me.
