vw bora air conditioning

I have a 2000 VW Bora and the air conditioning as stopped working, the light
comes on in the cockpit when a/c button is pressed but nothing seems to happen.
usually the revs on idle go up slightly as you depress the button but this
doesnt hapen any more. could it be the fuse? if so could u tell me which fuse it is as my manual is in german.

I have the same problem on my mk4 golf gt tdi. Can any body help?

Probably just needs re-charging with gas. The gas does have a relatively short life span, especially if its only used in the summer!! Its best to use it once a week for 30 mins to keep the gas moving round the system (so ive been told)!
Also, rather than going to a car air conditioning specialist, try a refrigeration expert, i know they fix fridges, but its the same gas and again ive been told its half the price.
