I have found a car that ticks 8 out 10 boxes for me and hoped I could get your input on a few things.....
Excuse my ignorance, I have been trying to learn everything in a short time frame.

The car only has DVD nav, is it that extremely inferior to HDD?
Bar the 3D images, what's the big difference?

Also, the car doesn't have AMI - something I am very keen on but enough to let a good car pass?!
    Could this be retrofitted?

Depends if its MMI 3G or 2G DVD Nav - The 3G DVD isn't that bad and the only difference compared to the HDD is the 3G images and the ablilty to play DVDs but its miles ahead of the MMI 2G.

What month and year was the car registered in?

Again, we need to know whether the car has 2G or 3G - 2G is easy but the 3G will need some more research.

    It'll be 3G.

3G was introduced around 58 plates.

    ok, that's good to know
    What about AMI?
The car has B&O but AMI isn't listed, is is part of package or maybe it hasn't got it?

Not sure I will need to check although I do think it was an optional extra.

Just checked - its standard on Tech Pack High (HDD) but an optional extra on all other radio/nav combinations.
