    Hi again.Looking for a guide to replace front springs on my B6 if anyone has a link.Iv googled but not for the life of me can i find a b6 passat guide..Many thanks again guys..

    Thanks but an online solution looks more my thing as iv found the tutorials and photograpic detail from users like myself priceless and easily understandable.Never let me down before if you know what i mean but again thanks for suggestion..

    It's not a hard job but the things you will need you haven't bargained for are these,

    New link bars, you will find when you undo them the sockets will have rusted and may go cheesy,

    New top suspension mounts, as these are rubbish to start with it makes sense to replace with new while you have the legs out

    Tools you will need are

    Windscreen wiper arm removal tool for getting access to the top mount bolts, you can slightly lift the panel but it tends to break on the drivers side if you do,

    Various torx for getting the lower wishbone bolt out, link bar etc

    One tip is keep a trolley jack under the lower wishbone unless you want the inner cvj to come out and the leg may not drop straight out of the wishbone and require a spreader or some brute force to get it to drop.
