Have a look in this section - its been covered a few times recently.

By the way quattro autos are tiptronic and are more reliable than the 2wd multitronic boxes.

Seems like a good price for a relatively new car.

93k wouldn't bother me, I bought mine on 93,000. However as Chris said there are various posts on the usual suspects such as injectors etc but on an 09/58 I should imagine that issue was ironed out by then? Someone may be able to confirm.

Having had a 2ltr a3 sportback company car previously, they are a really good engine i think. That said the V6 is lurrrvely and capable of high miles if looked after.

Most issues were ruled out 08/58 iirc but generally high miles as fieldy says are not a problem for a 3.0 TDi which has been cared after.

I am not sure this is a valid comment on the later boxes.

I was commenting on the older boxes. I only realised the year the OP is looking at after I posted.

quattro is still Tiptronic and 2WD is Multitronic.

remember to consider you'll be taking a hit on running costs at a time when most are under pressure to reduce future costs.

Whilst thats true £8k is alot of money, espically when the A4 should deprechiate faster (I am assuming its a newer car by the valuation)

You will lose out around 10MPG, so if you do 10,000 miles a year it will cost you £350 extra a year in diesel.

A6 will probably be a littler more to tax and insure a year, at a guess £200 extra a year.

Servicing - Not a great deal in it

Then repairs, who knows on that one.

So £550 extra a year is just under £46 extra a month. If you paid off debts with the £8k Im sure it would save you more than £46 per month. Or if you put it in a standard savings account at 3% it would earn you £240 in the first year.

As you can tell its lunchtime and Im a bit bored at work....

Another sapect of looking at the new car, is what equipment has it fitted, and how does that comnpare to your A4 in spec? Colour nav? Bluetooth? Xenons? Bose sound? Electric / memory seats? etc. etc.
As to running costs, you can factor in tyres too, as the Le Mans rubber will set you back £200-£250+ per corner.

Hi, sorry for jumping in - just wondering if you went ahead with the deal. Just curious as I 'think' I know the car you're looking at and wondered if you've seen it in the flesh (and his other stock - think he's another 2.7Quattro le mans?) and wondered if you can recommend him. I've just purchased a 2L A6 and like it so much my only regret is not getting the bigger cubes, either 2.7 or 3.0 so am looking to upgrade asap. If it is the same one then yes it looks fantastic and good luck on the purchase if you go ahead, I'd settle for the other one which I have to say would be my second pick, yours would be first if I had the choice!! Good Luck!...
