Being a bit OCD, but my glove box area "Quattro" chrome strip and the piece that runs along the drivers door of similar material both have a couple of marks.

I have bought new ones from Audi and pick them up tomorrow, they have offered to swop them over and will charge an hours labour.

Is this a simple swop?...if it is I will do it myself, are they just stuck on does anyone know?

I'm pretty sure they're clipped in somehow, when I upgraded mine they fitted them for free, albeit I was getting other work done at the time..........If they'd asked for an hours labour I certainly wouldn't have been paying it.

Hopefully someone with more detail can chime in to help you mate.

    Good luck

The main door ones are just clipped on, easy to remove with a small screw driver. - unsure about the glovebox one. You might have to waiti until the new part arrives and look at it.

Just take your time as the door area marks easy if you slip with the screw driver - no dought you can buy a special tool to remove these from audi for more ££££££

    regards, rob

They just pop out with a screwdriver - as others have said be careful not to scratch your dash or break any clips.

see below for door trim removal

    quattro trim removal

put your screwdriver about every 1/3'rd of the way accross the trim and it pops out - see below

You will have to pull the RHS side of the trim slightly with your hand to get it to pull out - use a little force

    door trim removal

Place your fingers at the bottom of the lhs side of the trim (im demostrating this on the passenger side) and pull out the first 2 clips

you will now need your screwdriver to prise out the rhs side of the trim as there is no gap for your fingers - the rest of the trim will pop out - see below for clip locations

    Bump

I never thought about it til this thread appeared. My driver's side panel is covered in marks from the previous owner & would like to know the cost of new parts.

This next part may require a new thread, but the black plastic disc on the MMI control wheel has a few marks too, anyone know if you can replace this part? It's really annoying me when I feel the bumps on the wheel.

    Cheers guys.
