    Well, 76353 miles...

6th Service carried out - And nothing of concern has come up. I won't go on about it as it'll make for long reading - my other posts cover most of my views. The brake fluid has been changed too.

Nothing to report, it's gone without a hitch or problem - They didn't identify an electrical problem, which I'm disappointed by, but as it's intermittent, I'm not surprised.

The car is still tight, a few rattles that I can live with and I suspect I've blown a speaker and economy could be better, but it's been a decent experience so far.

Service intervals have been as follows which I'm not overly impressed by but as it's a company car, I'm not too fussed.

    Service Date Mileage
    1 10-9-09 12442
    2 16-3-10 25265
    3 18-9-10 37597
    4 11-3-11 50361
    5 6-12-11 63004
    6 5-7-12 76353

Looking at that, I might only have one service this year!

Did they change the brake fluid as part if this last service or did they charge you extra for this?

I assume you're on long-life servicing James, in which case you don't seem to be getting a lot of benefit !

I switched mine to long life after the service plan ran out, and i reckon i'm due to get just over 19k between services based on being half way through that distance since last dealer visit.

I'm not sure what the service interval is, but it can't be long life - services are about 12/13k intervals and I do mostly motorway miles. If it was my own personal car, I'd be hopping mad ad these intervals...

Well the service interval is normally 10k time & distance or 20k longlife. So how come yours have been 12k James?

The service interval is normally set in the ecu when the vehicle has its PDI, this can be changed by the dealer later if the customer requests it. Mine has always been 10k.

I'm not sure what's going on as I did ask for the interval to be reset to long life especially as I do so many miles - I asked at "a dealer who I won't name" but they obviously didn't set it...

Sorry James living in Scunthorpe I can't really nip down and set it to longlife 20k with VCDS for you.

In the service schedule on the Options sticker first page it should say QG0, QG1, or QG2 in the codes now mine is shows QG1 which is the time and distance 10k. Now if you Google these service schedule QG0 QG1 QG2 there are conficting figures but its a quick check to how its been set from the factory.

ElsaWeb - Adapting the service interval display when replacing the dash panel insert (QG1 - MY 07, QG1 and QG2)

No worries - thanks for the thought though - if it was my own car, I'd come to you, but it's a fully paid up company car, so it's less of a concern. At least the next owner will have a thoroughly serviced car.

I'll post up the reg when it goes
