    Hi,

    i'd like your opinions please.

Currently i have Bridgestone Turanza's 225 / 45 / 17 on my car and i'm thinking that i should go for these as their replacements. The price is per tyre and includes postage and packing. All I need to do is find a fitter.

    Potenza RE 050 225/45 R17 90W BW, EZ

The perfect tyre for the sporty, demanding driver in wet and dry conditions.
Suitable for a wide range of models, from super sports cars such as the Enzo Ferrari, to popular models like the new Golf.
It offers high performance with a good level of comfort and low noise.
In certain sizes it is available as a runflat.
    With us only £ 85.30
Postage and packing costs are included in the price!

They do seem to rate higher than my fave Proxes and F1's.

    Seems like a good choice.

Recently replaced the Goodyear on my wifes Bora and used www.blackcircles.com and they do a fully fitted service and they have numerous special offers on all types of tyres, including high performance ones.

Would highly recommend them. They have over 900 fitting centres all over the country.

Go have a look before making any decisions.

    Regards,

    Chris

I have experiance of RE050`s versus Toyo Proxes T1R`s on a subaru impreza.

I did loads of miles and 2 track days, so I think I can be very helpful.

Bridgestone RE050`s were miles better in every department, ride, grip, noise level, dry and wet grip and" feel" was the biggest difference.

A much higher quality tyre, and lasted slightly longer too.
I`ve got some images of me and my Scooby on track with these tyres on should you be interested?

    Hope this helps.

    An update.....

I ordered 4 tyres (see 1st post) off mytyre and paid £340.45 ish. Got a phone call the following friday from them (i had to ask the lady to repeat what she said as i couldn't understand her english) saying they have recently been having difficulty with fraud and as my order was over £300 they would need a fax copy of a utility bill to confirm my authenticity.

I said to her that i don't carry a fax on me or a bill and that such equipment is impractical whils driving a lorry. I added further saying I ordered from them as it was quick, simple and hassle free, and now you are prolonging the issue and giving me hassle so cancel the order.

    She did.

I've since spoken to a lad up my street who is training at chrisler dealership and he can get 4 tyres of whatever brand i want even cheaper than mytyres can supply

Cash me thinks and trade discount.

That sounds a bit dodgy to me, doesn't it? It's companies sending goods to addresses that are different to that what the card's registered to (?!) that causes problems. I don't know, but someone else having a utility bill of mine smacks of identity theft...

My credit card got defrauded recently - co-incidentally while my laptop was away getting repaired with Dell. Like I say, a complete co-incidence, no relation whatsoever.
