I'm already way ahead of you... I don't even own an A6 and I'm already learning how to retrofit MMI and get wing mirrors to auto adjust on reverse.

I assume when you say retrofit Mmi you mean retrofit the colour MMI (high) - to be honest its far far easier to buy a car with it fitted as you'll spend at least £1k+ on parts.

For the mirror dip you need electric seats and folding mirrors as a minimum and have vcds to enable it.

I'll have to see what I can find - Avants in manual and petrol appear to be very short supply

Most a6's were diesel so you're stuck with a 2.0 TFSI or a 3.2 V6 quattro or the RS6 but that's auto only.

2.0TFSI is the one I'm looking at.

It doesn't suffer from the silly 'L' tax bracket of the 2.4, or I assume the 3.2 (that could be 'M'?)

I'd love an RS6 (or 4, I'm not greedy) but the running costs would ruin me!
