    Hi All,

Where actually is the Bluetooth unit location on the A4 B7?

Is under the Passenger or Drivers seat?

    Thanks
    Rob

IIRC its under the passenger seat, below the carpet (I think) but that needs clarification.

Why are you looking for it out of interest?

    Well,

Car has been broken into , sat nav has been nicked and they cut the cables, I've bought a new connector and trying to wire it back in but for some reason cant get bluetooth to work, thought i'd pull the unit out and test it just in case it's broken....

New RNS E unit has been programmed for bluetooth etc and it should be working, wiring is correct so thought i'd test the unit....

Just don't want to remove the drivers seat if it's under the passenger seat and vice versa!!

Generally the BT units don't go wrong, they are quite reliable.

But I will search now for the location as I wasn't quite sure.

In LHD cars its under the passenger seat which is the right hand side seat - rhd is under the passenger seat (lhs side of the car).

On my A6, it was easier to remove the B pillar trim first (the pillar with seat belt in) then the trim on edge of floor where it meet door(sill), as carpet is hooked into holders under that trim... will check and post back...

Just checked front sill trim can be removed without removing B pillar trim.. but there is a little section of trim that need to be removed near dash by door seal.. but for rear sill you need to remove B pillar trim top first then bottom...

Again like Chris said guide say front passenger for telematics electronics... sometimes this is that location or can be mirrored as guide assume LHD car... again you may have to unbolt seat as on my experience with my A6 only way to get good access under carpet was to unbolt and to tilt front seat into rear passenger foot well...

    Sorry can't help more@mo...

    Ideal...

Yeah the elsawin disc isn't that descriptive on the location with rhd/lhd cars...

    I take it...

    disconnect battery?
    unbolt passenger seat
    remove airbag connections?
    remove sill trim

is it just a case of lifting up the carpet from the door sill?

Whole thing is such a pain in the backside!

Are you referring to seat electric harness?? yes that what I did...

At dealer they would plug in a an adapter lead which AFAIK ground air bags to stop ignition...
About three times I've had my seat out... without any kind of issues... that is all the advise as a non mechanic member I can give...

You should find module in like a plastic housing... again was like that on my A6...
