Hi, just got home from work and found that it no longer locks on the handle buttons or open via proximity as before. Will still start via keyless but only locks and unlocks on the fob? Error Codes show all five aerials have failed which I find hard to believe?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

clear them down and retest each handle its most common for the osr or osf door handle capacitors to fail

check the measured values when pressing the door handle lock push button and the underside unlock

Hi, have cleared them but they come back after an ignition cycle. Will get the vas on it tomorrow and check the measured values and will report back.

    Thanks!

Quick update, just gone out to the car and now the drivers door and rear o/s door work both lock and unlock, the boot and n/s front and rear doors still not working?

    Hi,

This morning the 4 doors worked but not the boot, arrived at work and nothing worked again. Have gone through GFF on the VAS and I get the 5 error codes relating to the aerials but when testing I get a response on my key from all 4 doors and the 3 positions in the car but nothing from the boot area or the bumper. No other errors on the car which are significant really. CONFUSED!

There is a reference to the KESSY failing VWVortex.com - Repairing the Access and Start Controller (controller 07) - resolving antenna 'open circuit' faults this shows the resistor pack being an issue and also the FET's but fundamentally the system is working?

    Thanks

05 - Drive authorisation system with Keyless Entry
    4E0910131
    FBS AUDID3 H03
    Coding 411648
    4E0909131C
    403
    0140

00179 001 Aerial, driver side, for access and start authorization -R134 Upper limit surpassed
00180 001 Aerial, passenger side, for access and start authorization -R135 Upper limit surpassed

00181 001 Aerial, rear bumper, for access and start authorization -R136 Upper limit surpassed

00182 001 Aerial, boot, for access and start authorization -R137 Upper limit surpassed
00183 011 Aerial -1- interior for access and start authorization -R138 Open circuit

If I clear the errors and then do not read again the 4 doors work but the boot does not, I do a GFF and it works up to the point that I have to test the output from the Rear Aerials - Parcel Shelf and Bumper. Even though it says 00813 for R138 all three test ok. The other odd thing is that sometimes now when I have cleared the codes and I am testing it pressing a lock button causes the boot to open? The boot lid switch works fine and I can see in measuring blocks it is switching.

    Thanks

Well I bought a couple of FETs which arrived today and replaced them, hey-presto it is all back up and running again! Cleared the codes first but all sorted. I checked the resistors and they appeared to be ok.

If anyone wants this doing at any point let me know, I am lucky to have access to a production lab so someone else took the devices off and replaced them for me properly using proper kit in a static free environment.

    Thanks
