Hi all. I own a 05 20ltr 140bhp a4. It has a problem with oil getting into the diesel! It blocked the fuel filter to the point it starves the engine of fuel on motorways which results in the car juddering to a halt, it will not imediatly start but give it 20 mins and away it goes. So, i fitted a new fuel filter today and it drives on motorway ok again. I cut the fuel filter open and can only describe its element as saturated in oil,i bled some fuel away from the tank and it looked more like a cola colour than clear diesel. Any ideas???? Thanks

Yes it is very common, lubricating oil for the tandem pump gets into the fuel side. They can be bought from GSF and such places.

The oil contamination will contribute to that problem.
