Hi guys,I am having a fuel pressure problem with my 2005 2.0t fsi Quattro saloon. I ahve already replaced the fuel pressure sensor that had come up as a fault but i still have the engine light on. I am now going to replace the fuel filter and then if that doesn't work i am going to replace the in tank fuel pump. Does anyone know the part number of the fuel filter and the fuel pump?ThanksTim

The engine code is BGB, and i'm not sure what you mean about being a face lift car. It's a B7 and it was first registerd in February 2005, is this any help?

The BGB was only used post facelift so it is the later version, which of the two fuel pumps do you want the part number of? The fuel filter is 4F0 201 511 E, £25 from Audi and located at the back of the car and if I remember rightly, a complete **** to get at being tight up against the side of the tank and chassis leg, certain versions are tucked so far away up at the side of the tank that I had to cut an M8 XZN tool down to have only a thin 10-mm across flats top surface so I could just about undo the bolt, for this reason the filter rarely gets changed.

It's the in tank lift pump that I need. I'm getting a low pressure warning so the filter and pump are my first thoughts.

Have a look at the Cam follower for the High Pressure Fuel Pump located at the rear of the engine. These are prone to wear and when they do, they do not achieve the full stroke required for the pump to operate properly. this causes fuel starvation at higher revs. No harm in swapping it anyway, even if its not that bad. a badly worn follower can damage the Camshaft.

    Have a look at this.

This failure is often due to the pump leaking petrol into the engine and washing the oil off of the cam follower.
