A4 B5 door bottom mouldings

Hi all

The metal backings of the mouldings at the bottoms of my B5.5 doors were rusted, so I ripped the whole lot off, leaving studs along the bottoms of the said doors.

To replace the mouldings with OEM parts would cost the thick end of £200, so I wonder if anyone knows of anything that will fit and conceal the studs.

It doesn't have to look like the originals, in fact I quite fancy plain stainless look or something red (the car is what the trade calls 'doom blue' :-(, and has a red dragon on the back :-).

I know I'm not the first to have this exercise !

I replaced all 4 on mine with some black ones off ebay, they cost about £25-30 each. I have 1 black spare as a got offside and near side mixed. Im not sure what you can conceal the studs with but if your after a cheap one I have one spare.

Many thanks, A4driver, I'll keep it in mind, however I was looking for some cheapo moulding that would cost much less than that :-).
