Yes but sounds like they are faulty, to test put car in reverse without engine running and window down, no radio on!, and move close to each sensor if no sound heard from any sensor, then either control unit is not working or all the sensors are duff, I have been told if you listen closely you can hear a faint ticking noise from the sensors if they are working

With front and rear sensors you should have a 'P' button on the dash near the hazard switch. The long tone when you select reverse indicates a fault.
Try giving all sensors a clean, they are sensitive.
A fault scan will tell you which one is faulty..

Just a quick post on the faulty side of things, I was told by a vw tech that jet washes can damage sensors, supermarket washes are common offenders when they hold the water jet directly over the sensor for to long.

I have consulted the paper work that came with the car looks like just rear and I have a tracker fitted will do as suggested above and listern to each sensor .

Any idea where the tracker may be if not been removed as this will lower my insurance

Generally it will be tucked away so thieves cannot find it to disable it, however if you can track down the installer, they tend to use the same location on similar cars, spares for parking sensors etc can be found on ebay, ensure you replace like for like but do check all connections are good before splashing out, good luck :-)
