hi guys newbie here, i am having bother with my tdi 115.its the same old story of losing power around 2500rpm but ok after switching off and on,i have just changed the maf sensor as this seems to be the common fault but the problem still occurs and also have a bit of jerking around 1750rpm only after fitting the new maf sensor.
so i am not sure if i have baught a faulty sensor or if the problem is somewere else eg.turbo.
any help would be great i have read a lot of other threads on this topic but still unsure.
also there is a loud whistle on boost not sure if this is part of the problem or not

    any help thanks.Robbie

Where did you buy the Air Mass Meter (AMM)? If it is a Bosch saying made in China these are causing huge problems, you should only buy them genuine exchange from a VW dealer. The 115PS AJM engines do have a little more turbo whistle than other PD engines but I suspect that if you have a fault code read done it will show code 17965 Boost pressure exceeded.

Well first of all you need to get it to a garage that can do a fault code read and it would be very helpful if these codes are in VAG or P format. Make sure you get a printout and then post the codes on here. As you will still have the original AMM, take a trip to a VW dealer and get a VW exchange unit which will cost you about £75.

hi had look under the bonnet before and have found that there is a little sensor type thing (not sure what it is!)it seems to connect onto some braided hoses on the baulkhead.whell this sensor has came away from its mounting point and sitting on the exhaust and the pipe that is connected is freyed and think it could be leaking.going to get new hose tomorrow and see what happens.

That will be the EGR, N75 or shut of flap solenoid but a leak in the vacuum system will cause a loss of turbo control and limp mode accompanied by code 17964 stored on the ECU.
