Well the cars got a lot worse (https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...-Photo-request

and I took it into Audi who said they'll look at it Next Tuesday just to do diagnosis - £144!

So I ended up calling around local mechanics and a chap popped down and used a Bosch Code reader and the following came up:

    379
Boost Pressure Control - Control Deviation Negative?

I'm trying to fault find and have lightly sprayed liquid over the lines to to the turbo to see if there any leaks and cant find anything.

The weird thing is if I start the car up and start driving its fine....20mins into a journey and the car falls into a sort of 'limp mode' where I get no boost from the Turbo...

considering I'll have to wait for Audi next week anyway....does anyone have any suggestions to locate the cause?

    Thanks in advance.

How do they estimate £144?It may be worth having the best advice cos it may be tricky to find.Sounds similar to what my son had on his S3 when diagnostics failed to locate a faulty throttle body

Ended up taking it TJB in Alperton where Tom was able to diagnose it as the EGR. Gave it a good clean and removed all the carbon build up so far so good, no limp mode yet. And fells better when putting foot down. :-)

I'll post an update after 300+ miles.
