    hello fellow owners,
I recently got hold of a B7 s4 and first thing i noticed is it was pulling to the left, so i went and got the wheel alignment done by a modern digital imaging (hawkeye) system. It was slightly out and did improve the pull but its still pulling slightly to the left.
One other thing that it picked up was that the camber on the front right was sitting at 1degree 11minutes negative camber when it should only be 51minutes negative camber. But this is still within tolerance going by audi's settings. I was thinking that the little bit of extra camber on the right could push the car to the left, bit of a long shot thou.
The more obvious thing that I was thinking would cause the pulling to the left is a weak bush in one of the arms at the left hand front wheel.

note- its pulling to the left on good flat road, not just on roads that are slanted to the left.

anyone with any ideas, fire away.

    thanx

It's unlikely, but the nearside brake caliper could be dragging a little. Go for a drive on a road you know doesn't require much in the way of braking, coast to a stop and see how hot the caliper is compared to the offside one. Bit of a long-shot but it's worth checking I think.

I suppose its worth a shot, ive got access to a good laser temp gun, that will give me accurate results. But its unlikely as you said.

If you're anywhere near Milton Keynes then you'd do no better than popping over to Wheels inmotion forum and ask Tony what he thinks. Then maybe pop in and get it sorted properly. What Tony doesn't know about geometry can't be written. If you have the printout that the place who did the alignment should've given you then post it up over there for him to have a look at.

    long shot.......
years ago I had a car that pulled violently to the left when braking. So violently yuo had to be ready to catch it and almost steer into it like opposite lock.

turned out an engine mount had failed and when braking the engine was swinging forward on one side and unbalancing the whole car.

Like I said, it's a long shot but the V8 is a big lump of an engine.

    checked tyre pressures?
    shocks?

More likely to be braking issue I'd imagine

The slight pull to the left is constant it dosent increase with breaking. Yes ive checked the pressures over and over again.

ill update on the the findings, when i do the braking test.

ok maybe its more of a drift to the left than a pull. If i hold the steering lightly it will continue going striaght, if i let go it graduly drifts left over a short distance.
