S4 (B7) Headlight Warning is Weird - PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi guys

I have a 2005 B7 S4 Avant with a bit of an odd issue...

The main beam nearside headlight was doing odd things. It would flicker on and off, and then switch off for 5-10 seconds before coming back on as normal. No pattern - completely random.

So, I've replaced the bulb with a brand new one (Phillips or Osram, forget which), and now with 0 and 15 minutes of driving the warning light will come on the dashboard for that bulb.

The bulb is now rock solid (no flickering etc) - but the damned warning light is now causing the issue.

Any ideas at all as to what this could be???

It might be worth swapping the new bulb to the offside and seeing if the warning light changes sides too.....
