Possibly buying a sline 1.9tdi

Good morning people , I am new on here but not to the world of vags.
Looking at a 2005. (54) b7. Sline avant 1.9tdi 115bhp
a few questions
firstly
it is a 5 speed box , looking into this these cars do come with 5 not 6 is this correct.
the 5 speed doesn't seem so tight as the 6 speed golf tdi I had and the 1.8t seat with the 6 speed box
am I being paranoid or is it a problem.
it was a cat d oil pump failure but it has had a recon engine and everything replaced on it so it's like a new car
doesnt pull as well as I thought it doesn't shift but not as quick as I thought, is it just because its 115bhp and need a map : )
good points
full leather interior in great condition
fridge in glove box ( is this rare to find.)
absolute mint condition and the shell has done 65,000 miles
should I walk away ? The only thing I am not happy about is the sloppyish gears and it does pull but not aggressive as my previose golf gt tdi ???? I apologise in advance if I am talking cack

My first Audi was the 1.9 TDI avant and at the time I had the comparison of my 140ps Golf GT as well. You are right- you will notice the Golf is a bit more punchy, but a good remap should see you right.

Yep 5-speed only, economical though compared to the 2.0TDI

If the engine has been overhauled, and you have all the paperwork to back up I would say sounds like a good purchase

Dont knock the 1.9 TDi. It does 50+ mpg if you drive it reasonably and mine has done 120k and it still is a very tight gear change on my five speed box. If you want a quick set of wheels to get from A to B then stay with the Golf. But if you want a 'well oiled' and relaxed drive home with not alot of discomfort then ave the A4.
