No not really you need to counter hold the bolt in the middle of the pulley and use a strap wrench on the pulley and turn it anticlockwise to remove the clutch plate on the pulley and the rubbers are behind it one tip is spray the bolt with plus gas a few days before makes it easier to remove you just need to undo the mounting bolts on the compressor and don't need to remove any pipes.

NO you suppose to only hold the center bolt and turn the pulley with a strap wrench once you took the belt off the pulley and lowered it down of the mountings put a strap wrench around the pulley don't use any metal one.Fabric or rubber will be fine hold the center bolt with a 7mm socket and turn the strap wrench anticlockwise don't turn the center bolt or you will snap it if it don't turn spray it with some plus gas or wd40 and try again

Gave up in the end, rounded off the 7mm nut completely, ********! Ive been looking online and i see that people are using a 3 prong tool to remove the clutch plate. Do you reckon the tool would still work even if ive rounded the nut off completely? Heres a you tube video i found.

If you can get the tool yes it should work but that tool must hold the bolt in some way and if your is rounded it could not grip that's if the tool works like that but I'm just guessing you could counter hold the pulley using a strap wrench and use the tool
