    Hi all,

This is my first post in unlucky circumstances I guess. I have had my MKV GOLF GT TDI 170 for 3 months and experianced a loss of power in the upper rev range 4 days ago initially and then subsequently some hesitation the following days.

I took car in to a friends service center and no fault codes logged however they showed me some diesel from the fuel filter which was black in colour.

The garage advised they had dealt with the same issue on 3 different TDI VW's recently where by the the high pressure fuel pump failed and contiminated the fuel and eventually damaged the injectors. In each case VW covered the repairs even though the cars were out of warranty.

I have spoken to VW and they have raised a case to investigate the issue, they have to first diagnose the problem at a VW dealership before proceeding further. VW have said my car has a recall on the injectors so at the very least that wont be a costly expense to bare.

Wondering if anyone else has had the same issue which has been covered out of warranty by VW.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi
I have Audi A4 2l 170 quatro and experienced hesitation and juddering under acceleration when car was just out of warranty. Audi garage informed me that I had contaminated diesel and unfortunately had to fund £740 two years ago as they replaced the fuel pump within tank!!! This occurred the day after my injectors were replaced under recall!!!
Two years on I'm experiencing same juddering and hesitation. I have just funded a new pump 'fuel sender' (attached to rear of engine) and this did not resolve issue. Audi have now informed me that the pump within the tank has failed again but on this occasion they are rectifying at their expense. Believe it or not but Fault is still pre sent, Audi garage have checked all injectors and found no faults and have now called upon Audi's technical support for as distance as diagnostics still indicate 'no faults'
When I get to ghetto bottom of this very irritating and costly issue I'll update you accordingly.
    Simon
