Dashboard lights flashing on ignition, disappear on engine start

Hi all, i am new to this site and was wondering if anyone could help me ,

when i turn the ignition on in my Audi A4 B5 1.6 (1995) i get three flashing lights which i believe are ABS, Oil temperature and something else, and the petrol light stays on solid, i also have a problem with the immobiliser which i dont know if it is linked to these flashing lights (turning the key on and off a few times sorts the immobiliser flashing light out, i presume there is a connection issue between the key and disengaging the immobiliser as the car wont start with the immobiliser light flashing) but i was wondering anyone knows what these flashing lights mean, if anything, they go out after the engine is started, i know in most cars most of the dash lights illuminate but then they go out after a few seconds, these three constantly flash as if to tell me something is wrong, but after the engine is started they go out, thanks, Steve
