When buying my previous Audi from Dealer, it had a really thick wax on it, any idea what this was, it was brilliant, made cleaning real easy.

Can anyone reccomend a good wax?

    Thanks

    Alex

    Hi Alex.
Any good Carnuba wax will give you great results, especially if your car is dark
in colour. I see the guy's are promoting the surf city range. Maybe worth a look.
I personally use Valentines Concours carnuba wax on my jazz blue golf and get fantastic results.
In all honesty, when I first used it and stood back to admire it, I thought
    to myself, " that's too clean "!!
    Good luck.

If you want a decent hard wax that's easy to come by, try Autoglym's HD wax, pick some up from Halfords if you prefer something a little easier and quicker, Meguairs Ultimate Liquid Wax gives good results and is a doddle to apply.

    Hi.
    Prod1, you're busy answering posts today !!
Regarding Autoglym Hi Def wax, I have been in a few shops and they are
saying the Hi Def isn't shifting. Maybe it is something to do with the £40
price tag on it, I don't know.
I have never used it, but I would welcome any feedback on it regarding ease
of use and quality of finish etc .....

    Mark

Ive always found the HD wax pretty good, I'm not sure why it's not shifting although it's prob got a lot to do with the snobbery surrounding the brand amongs some of the pro's and the reviews they've given as well as the price, but on that from if you compare the price of HD it's pretty comparable to others on the market.

Its not the easiest I've used but it's not the trickiest either, it can be a little grabby when it comes to the buff stage, but the results are very good, if you get some ditch their applicator sponges and go with a normal wax applicator pad but dampen it and keep it damp during application.

    Phone this helps)

I really cant get past Collinite 845 for durability, ease of putting on and off and the added bonus that you can rub it over your plastics too

Might get this when I finish the Meg's

Also, you wouldn't know what would take polish marks off grey plastics?

A pencil eraser should move the marks off the trim.

Any dark coloured car black or blue etc will look even more amazing using a glaze.

I use a range from prima and there glaze Amigo is superb.

Hd wax is good too. Easy on and off lasts well and you can buy it online cheaper than *********
