    Yes, it is quite straight forward.
    You go to the Ross Tech website and pay the measly sum of $99 which is about 1/2 hours of main dealer labour, and they send you the crack.

    Couldn't have said it better.

    The thing you need to remember is that Rosstech who produce vagcom are a small family business. They heavily invest in research to provide us lot with vagcom.

    If you had a Ford, Vauxhaul, Citroen, Renault, Peaugot etc etc, there simply isn't anything like it. Vagcom makes running a VAG vehicle unique in that you can cheaply maintain it yourself.

    Supporting Rosstech is well worth the measily investment as Lex has said above in that the cost would be recouperated almost the first time you use it.

    The program and VB6 source code:

    <link removed>

    Make sure you have the VB runtime installed. This you can get from Microsoft or just google it.

    Simply add the program file to your installed folder and change your desktop / Start menu shortcut to point to this file.

    This program will create the 3 binary files and will start vag com and monitor when those 3 files gets deleted and will create new ones all the time.

    Share it and spread it!

    Enjoy

    In the mean time I will be creating a open source project similar and will keep you updated.
    I cannot believe the sheer cheek of you two.

    3rd party cables are available for a pittence, rosstech are kind enough to still offer licenses for these cables, with the use of 409, for around £50 and STILL you try to rip it off.

    We all know piracy exists, but posting a link on an enthusiast forum, where your IP and email address has been recorded is just stupid, quite frankly.

    Post reported.
