Installing HID's

Has anybody been successful with installing aftermarket HID kits on their Passat CC's????

Im aware of the Canbus issues, had them installed on my last car ( Vauxhall Astra H ) and were canbus compatible but after trying to install the same kit on the passat, it brought up the bulb warning light ........

Any success stories out there??? and if so where did you shop? ( links if possible)

You may also need not just the headlights, but I think you now also need to install the self levelling system plus the headlight washer system which means a new front bumper, plus the washer pumps and all the electrics that go with it. Quite expensive and could be complicated to set it all up correctly.
