    Hi folks,

I have the original disc in my car (4GO919884A) and am looking to update it. I know of a disc 4G0919884 J for sale which is version 2011. Would this do the trick?

Also I wondered if Audi have addressed the very annoying problem of the mis-guidence at roundabouts. You know - the "please take the second exit" followed by "NOW TURN LEFT" before you even enter the roundabout. It doesn't appear to have a clue where it is.

There was a fix for the voice prompts - a simple mmi update cures this

    https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...+prompt+timing

You might need to get the maps updated at Audi though .. Check this

Thanks for the lightning fast response. Wow, that 27 pages was a l-o-n-g read. I think one of the main protagonists may well top himself.

I don't think I can face multiple trips to my local dealer and since I bought the car used from an Audi dealer 160 miles away, I probably won't be welcomed with open arms.

Lol I didn't expect you to read it all!

I'm not sure if this was done under warranty - MFGF was one of the main bods in that thread so he could comment more if it was ever made a workshop action

Ok this is a recall for the update -

It was added as a workshop action for all cars as I recall. You can get your dealer to check if there are any outstanding software updates for the car.

    Good luck!!

I've been to my local Audi dealer this morning. They brought up the details of my car on screen and checked for recalls/updates. I was shown a screen which said none were available. I said that I knew a later version of software for my car had been realeased.
Also, that I had a 2011 Map update DVD which, when inserted initially offers an "Update" option but goes no further.

The service advisor then said: "I can book you in for a check on your Navigation system but we have a diagnostic charge of £75.00." I said that I would be willing to pay £75 if the result was an updated system and that it included installing my 2011 map version. I added that I would bring with me the details of the 'recall' version number.

TBH, I can see me getting the car back with the software unchanged and a bill for £75. I'll have to make it crystal clear that I won't expect to pay if it doesn't get updated. I'll keep you informed.

My car is booked in next week for the software update for the voice prompts, and the service advisor made no mention of a charge.

    Cheers,

    Ivor.

I'm in the same boat - though I don't really use the satnav that often. I'm running:

    Software Version: BNav_EU_P0022_D1

Nav database version: 4G0919884F_ECE_5.10.5 (2010 version I think)

I'm not too fussed about newer maps, but I may query Audi on the software updates.

Is BNav_EU_K0031_2_D1 the latest version for an A6 as I've seen BNav_EU_P0054_D1 mentioned on Q5s:

From Apr 2017 - now: Oct 2016 (66) Audi A7 3.0 TDI quattro (FL - MY17), 272 ps, Black Edition (Tech pack, Parking Pack, Folding Mirrors), Mythos Black.
