  1. Mileage - someone must be stacking them on

Following on from the running in topic - all the C7's must still be quite new, can I ask for people with high mileage to report on how they are going, and whether the long life service interval does get to 19,000 miles.

Hopefully someone is doing a ridiculous mileage and can give us all confidence!

    Cheers

    Jon

What is the service schedule out of interest? 19k miles or how long time wise?

    19k or 2 years.

Far better sticking to the 10k/1 year interval IMO.

Why? My pattern exactly matches the 19k criteria.

I wouldn't want the same oil circulating my engine for 20k or 2 years.

Surely if Audi are wiling to sell me a 5 year warranty they must be reasonably confident in their schemes and methodologies?

I have always wondered about this, Porsche are the same 20k interval in a stressed high performance engine. Not sure if they are answering to customer requirements for lower service costs, comfortable in their testing of long life oils or hoping to get lots of repair work outside the 3yr warranty....you can take your pick on this one.

Friend of mine has a 2.0 TDi C7 A6 Avant S-Line - got it September 2011 now on 23,000 miles first service bang on schedule just after 19,000 and has had new front tyres as his is front wheel drive.

He does a load of miles and practically lives in the thing - says it hasn't missed a beat.

    Anyone gone further than 23,000?

I decided on fixed service internals of 10,000 miles or 9,300 to be exact. I have now done 19,000, so due a service next month.
