    So, who would you recommend as a good UK reseller of the Rosstech VCDS? Or would you buy direct from the US?

    Thank's Chris - Ilexa were top of the search on Google but I mistrust that! Their price is roughly equivalent to the US$ price too, so a good deal. What cable (for a 2006 A6 C6) would I need?

    You will need HEX-USB+CAN which will work with the A6.

    Ilexa's price shows it without VAT but it comes to £263.16 which is £1.79 cheaper than Gendan.

    Remember with the US price, I think you will need to pay customs/vat etc when it comes into the country.

    Yes, it's duty on the cost, then VAT on the cost+duty price. Unless it could be downloaded electronically from Rosstech of course, but they may well have territory blocks to protect their resellers (not unreasonably).

    The software is free to download, its the cable which contains the license key.

    Working it out from $ -> £

    US Price - $349.00 + $54.67 (using their shipping estimate) = $403.67 which equals £250.57 (from XE.com) + whatever duty on that.

    Tbh and IMO, it would be easier and quicker to buy it direct from the UK

    Sorry, there are more than 2 distributors which I never saw on RT's website - http://www.mi-uk.com/products/access...om-diagnostic/ and http://www.v-techuk.com/ (which is 36p cheaper than Ilexa .. Every penny counts!)

    I personally bought mine from Gendan with no problems at all
