New window trims from Audi are around £700 fitted (quote as of Dec 2011), apparently the door trims are riveted on, and the rear quarter light window will have to come out to remove that trim (so i'm told), best bet would be to have them wrapped.

Have a search around the forum fella, some peeps have done this.

i sprayed mine with black plasti dip and they are perfect. it is a spray paint that dries as a vinyl layer, if you are unhappy with the result, just peel the vinyl off.

but as per above, very dear to get these replaced

Nice idea Thomas, I was thinking of doing mine black and didn't want to pay the prices from bodyshops. I might just get a can or two, how many did you get and how many cotes did you do?

I need to get my car done anyway, thinking of doing the wheels again to get rid of scuffs and scrapes and all the marks etc on the bodywork. Also have the fog light fittings color coded.. Future plans are to have RS4 mesh grill mod.

I'm currently working on sound system and stereo, converted from single to double din, removed parrot kit and installed a double din - Pioneer AVH 300BT comes built in with parrot bluetooth. I've just replaced the standard speakers with Pioneer 240w and ordered some tweeters ( I would have done this at the same time but totally forgot about them). May month plans are Sub, retrofitted in to the back where the standard sub is atm and a custom box made around it. Once the sound and in car system is done. Looking at also having the oil pump conversion done.

Hi Macdoon, I have the same as you but it's Trip/Auto 147bhp with BLB engine. Is your's the BLB engine? Did you have the oil pump converted to gear driven, if it is BLB? Was it a 140 and you had it remapped to 170?

i bought 4 tins of it, which done the chrome window surrounds, the front grill chrome surround and the boot chrome piece, and also my chrome wing mirrors. i did 4 coats on all of these and it came out brilliant, could have done a 5th coat but ran out of paint, make sure you have enough, its better to have too much that too little with plastidip as it sprays quite lightly.

the plasti dip idea sounds very interesting....I was thinking of vinyl wrapping my grill surround and window trims but the plastic dip might be easier.

Is there a uk supplier that sells the stuff??
Presumably, 1 tin would enough for the grill and boot in the meantime?
