OK, I have logged and turned the info into a graph.

BLUE = LOW FUEL PRESSURE ( lowest is 4.21bar to highest being 6.17bar )
RED = HIGH FUEL PRESSURE ( specified )
GREEN = HIGH FUEL PRESSURE ( actual )

I just want to get my head around this and throw what I am thinking out there and see if anyone agrees with me. YES, I definitely have a fuel pressure that the ecu is picking up as it is logging a fault. When I took these readings, the problem that I am having, was very apparent and stuttering etc. The results here show both the low and high pressure are pretty consistent with each other and do not drop out of specification..... SOOOO.... Is it maybe possible that the problem that I am having is not related to the fuel pressure problem that is being stored in the ecu ??

    UPDATE - FIXED !!!

Just to let you guys know, I replaced the air mass meter and the stutter and hesitation has not happened once since. The faults are still logged in the ecu to do with the fuel sensor BUT it ended up the two were NOT linked. Just goes to show that sometimes chasing a stored fault is not always your answer. Thanks to A8 and Crasher for the help along the way Really appreciated !

spotted that you linked this from the one i was reading on audizine. glad you got it fixed, better than the fireman option! its annoying the life out of me too, any further issues?

all these question, sorry! ... how much was the air mass sensor? i've had mine out and gave it a blow out with an air gun, seemed a little better after, might try unplug and run and see if it alters to narrow it down...

ok so there's a tiny hesitance there... and 2 fault codes this week plus the CEL is on.

codes were these 2... fuel pressure and IMRC (i've cleaned around the IMRC and d40'd it since)

P2015 Generic DTC: Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Range/Performance
P2293 Generic DTC: Fuel Pressure Regulator 2 Performance

got a BT reader on order as i used a friends to get these, reset and the light was back on 24 hours later. will see if its the same or one of these again this time...

Tiny or are you not wanting to admit to yourself that the MAF didn't actually fix the problem ? Sorry for not updating or replying. The MAF did not actually fix my problem and in the end, I learned to live with it and ending up selling the car a year later. I know that is of absolutely no help to you at all but there you have it.
