Hi, I'm new to this, My A4 Avant (B7) was losing a lot of washer fluid, both front and rear sprays worked fine so obviously I didn't seem to have a disconnected pipe (like so many others!!!)
I finaly traced the problem to the grommet where the screen wash pump passes through into the bottom water reservoir, Ive stripped it down and tried to silicone sealent the offending joint, but if this fails does anyone know the part number for the lower reservoir and the pump (this must be 2 way as I've got an Avant with the rear screen washer) and if possible the grommet. Where could I buy a new set if necessary.
thank you for reading this and even more if you can help me.

    Hello Barry.

Mine also leaks. I guess the main dealer is the only source for these parts. Can you get to the bottle from under the wheel arch or do you have to remove the bumper?

    John.

Hi Stagman, thanks for the reply, I've ordered them from Lincoln audi (£90 delivered) The only way in is through the Wheelarch trim, you only need to remove the front part of the wheelarch trim but it is easier with it totally removed. you need to remove the top bottle first, which is just 1 bolt and one nut (dont forget to pull off the breather pipe from the top. Once this is removed you can move to the bottom bottle.
The bottom bottle is held in by 2 bolts but first I found it easier to remove the metal 'arm' which restricts the movement of the lower bottle, a bit of movement and the bottle will come free, the pump and level sensor will still be attached but these can be released with a small screwdriver in the 'lugs'
Mine was leaking where the pump goes downwards through a grommet into the bottle, I tried to 'silicone sealant' it but it failed so I decided to go for new pump and lower bottle.
you can actually get to the pump (to feel for leaks) through the engine side. If you stand at the front of the car in the middle and look dowwn to your rght at the front of the lower bottle, you can see the pump (it has a small horizontal cylinder fastened to the front of it) and if youve got small/average size hands, you can actually squeeze your hand and arm down to it to check for leaks before removing wheel and wheelarch trim.
hope this helps you in some way, all the best, Barry
